How We Got Started
Apple Dove Publishing is named after Louise's two children.
It began life as a kernel of an idea in 2024 after Louise was struggling to find any books that she wanted to read. So she decided to write exactly the type of books she was looking for.
Louise is a fan of Sir Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Red Dwarf, Tom Holt, and Adele Abbott; each of their books takes the reader from the humdrum daily life and into a world of escapism, adventure and sometimes silliness.
As we progress and develop over the years, Apple Dove Publishing aims to embody the vision of being:

(2) Providing escapism to our readers

(4) and providing just a touch of silliness along the way

The world around us is serious, dangerous, and sometimes scary. At Apple Dove Publishing, the heart of what we do is that we want to bring some light relief to our readers. We will sometimes write about serious issues but always remind ourselves that life is about fun and happiness.
